Hi! My name is Danielle
I am a nurse, an author, a mom, a coach, a podcast host...
I just published my first book, Piece of Work, a memoir. It's about struggle and redemption, addiction and recovery, faith and doubt, hope and love. Though I no longer believe in a life of no regrets, I believe that our deepest sorrows can become our greatest assets. I love inspiring other people in their own lives.
I became a Labor & Delivery nurse at 48 years old. Nursing school in my 40s was one of the hardest and best things I've ever done. So was writing and publishing a book. But the fact that I climbed these mountains and now get to do what I love every day is amazing. Cheering on and caring for a patient as she gives birth to her baby, helping people navigate their own life choices, sharing stories of hope and love and loving my own family and friends...these are my greatest joys.
I also love helping other people craft their stories, and editing essays, books, and other written documents. Editing a document is like sculpting a gorgeous statue from a rough slab of marble...
